LPG Pumps (FAQs)
What is an LPG pump used for? An LPG pump is used to transfer liquid LPG from one vessel to another, such as from a bulk storage tank to a smaller cylinder or tanker. LPG pumps are used in cylinder filling plants, autogas filling stations, bulk transfer operations and industrial LPG installations. Eyona Gas Equipment supplies Smith LPG pumps and Viking Fill pumps across South Africa.
What is an LPG filling skid? An LPG filling skid is a complete, pre-assembled unit that includes a pump, motor, valves, meters and safety equipment mounted on a steel frame. It is used for filling LPG cylinders or tankers efficiently and safely. Eyona Gas Equipment designs and supplies custom LPG filling skids for retail and industrial operations across South Africa.
Does Eyona Gas Equipment supply Smith LPG pumps in South Africa? Yes. Eyona Gas Equipment is a supplier of Smith LPG pumps in South Africa. Smith pumps are internationally recognised for their reliability and performance in LPG transfer applications. We supply pumps for retail cylinder filling, bulk transfer and autogas applications. How long does an LPG pump last and when should it be serviced? A well maintained LPG pump can last 10 to 15 years in normal operating conditions. We recommend a full service inspection every 12 months which should include checking mechanical seals, bearings, valves and motor condition. Signs that your pump needs immediate attention include unusual noise, reduced flow rate, vibration or visible LPG leaks. Eyona Gas Equipment can advise on maintenance schedules and supply replacement parts or units when required.
